Terms of use

Last updated 2 September 2026

Who you are agreeing with

These terms are between you and Digital Galleries Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17403040, registered office 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5PF. Using NearlyWeds means accepting them.

You can reach us at help@nearly-weds.com.

What the service is

NearlyWeds gives you a wedding website at your own address, a guest list, invitations by link and QR code, replies with menu choices and dietary requirements, and a seating plan. You can invite a wedding planner to work on it with you.

Your account

  • You need a working email address, and you are responsible for what happens through your account.
  • Anyone you invite as a planner can see and change your wedding, including your guest list and their replies. Invite people you trust, and remove them when the work is done.
  • Tell us if you think somebody else has got into your account.

Your guests’ information is yours, and your responsibility

When you add guests, you decide what to collect and why. In data protection terms you are the controller and we are your processor: we hold and handle their information on your instructions, and we do not use it for anything of our own.

That makes some things your job rather than ours. You should have a reason to hold each person’s details, tell them what you are doing with them if they ask, and delete what you no longer need. Our privacy notice explains what we do with it on your behalf.

[ to confirm: whether a separate written data processing agreement is offered, and where a customer signs it ]

What you put on your website

  • Your words and your photographs stay yours. You give us permission to store them and to show them on your website, which is the whole point of handing them over.
  • Only upload photographs you have the right to use. If your photographer holds the copyright, check what they allow.
  • Do not put anything unlawful, abusive or misleading on a site we host, and do not use the service to send anything of that kind to your guests.

Your web address

You choose a subdomain when you sign up. Some names are reserved because they could be mistaken for us or used to mislead your guests. We can reclaim an address that infringes somebody’s trade mark or is being used in bad faith, and we will tell you why if we ever do.

What it costs

[ to confirm: price, what is included, when payment is taken, and refunds ]

How long it lasts

[ to confirm: how long an account lives after the wedding date, what notice is given before anything is removed, and whether a couple can export first ]

You can delete your wedding at any time, which removes your guest list, their replies, your seating plan and your uploaded photographs. That cannot be undone.

What we promise, and what we do not

We will look after your wedding the way we would want ours looked after, and we will tell you honestly when something has gone wrong.

We cannot promise the service is never unavailable. It runs on equipment other companies operate, and things fail. Keep your own copy of anything you could not stand to lose — you can print or export your guest list and your seating plan at any time.

[ to confirm: limitation of liability — the cap, and the exclusions. Worth a solicitor rather than a template, because this clause is the one that matters if anything ever goes badly wrong. ]

Changes and endings

We may change these terms as the service changes. If a change matters to you we will tell you before it takes effect rather than moving a date at the top of a page.

We can suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms or the law. We will tell you why, and other than in the clearest cases we will give you a chance to put it right first.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away rights you have that cannot be signed away.
